​Metallica has announced their return to Australia for the first time in over a decade as part of their M72 world tour. The band will perform in Perth, Adelaide, Melbourne, Brisbane, and Sydney in November 2025, with special guests Evanescence and Suicidal Tendencies joining them on the lineup .​

The tour will mark Metallica’s first Australian shows since the 2013 Soundwave festival. Their 2019 stadium tour was canceled when lead singer James Hetfield sought treatment for addiction.​

Fans can look forward to a special Snake Pit area at Accor Stadium in Sydney, offering the closest view to the stage. Meet-and-greet opportunities and travel packages, including tickets and hotel accommodations, will also be available in select cities.​
